长沙开福区开福大道旁，“藏”着一片荷塘

在三伏天的艳阳下开得格外灿烂

where the lotus flowers blossom greatly under the scorching sun.

“江南可采莲，莲叶何田田……”

"It’s a good time in Jiangnan for lotus plucking, Ah, what a stretch of luxuriant lotuses growing"  

古诗词中的采莲场景欢快而浪漫

It seems to be enjoyable and romantic to pluck lotus seeds,

但对于采莲人来说 并不是件易事

but for harvesters, it is not an easy job.

他们顶着烈日炎炎 背着篮子在荷塘里穿梭

They carry baskets under the scorching sun,

熟练地采摘饱满的莲蓬

expertly picking the ripe lotus seeds.

回到岸上后

After returning back,

又要把莲蓬中的莲子一个个剥落

all the lotus seeds are peeled one by one.

荷开满塘 风乍起

Lotus is blossoming all over the pond

卷起一池飘香

and its fragrance reaches everyone with the breeze.

荷花粉嫩娇艳 水光潋滟 在阳光下分外动人

And the delicate flowers and glittering pond form a beautiful picture.
