编者按：迷人的风景、醉人的美食、独特的夜经济、众多的网红打卡点，深厚的文化底蕴……对湖南的热情与向往早就不仅于国内，越来越多的外国人也闻名而来。来自美国的老夏（Denis）就是其中一个。他不仅来了，还爱上了这里，留在了这里。作为一个在长沙生活了五年的外国人，他开始用视频记录这里的一切，不仅让更多的外国友人了解湖南，也给我们了解湖南提供了一个全新的视角。

Editor notes: The increasing number of people, not only domestic tourists but also foreigners from other countries, has been attracted by Hunan’s charming natural scenery, delicious local snacks, special night market, countless Internet-famous sites, a time-honored history and rich culture. Denis, who comes from America, is one of them. He came here about five years ago and decided to stay here for a while. He wants to share everything which he experienced in Hunan and also provides a new way for us to know our hometown.

这是老夏第三次来到凤凰古城，一个流淌着诗与歌的烟雨小城。

This is Denis’s third visit to the Fenghuang Ancient Town, a misty and rainy small town flowing with poems and songs.

在凤凰古城，岁月的低吟穿梭于古老的街巷，仿佛每一块青石铺就的路面都承载着历史的沉淀。

In Fenghuang Ancient Town, the murmur of times wanders through the old streets and alleys, as if each piece of the green stone road carries the precipitation of history.

古老的木屋、江边矗立的吊脚楼与青砖石瓦共同谱写着岁月的交响，街头巷尾处处弥漫着淳朴的古镇气息。

Old wooden houses, stilted houses standing beside the river and brick tiles together compose the symphony of the times, the streets and alleys are filled with the simple atmosphere of the ancient town.

独特的苗家建筑风格与传统文化交织，仿佛一幅幅流转的山水画卷，将过去与现在交织在一起。

The unique Miao architectural style and traditional culture are intertwined here, as if a long landscape scroll, weaving the past with the present.

婆娑的柳枝轻拂着时间的脸庞，古老的水车徐徐转动，河水悠然流淌，宛如镜中倒影的记忆。

The whirling willow branches brush the face of time, the old waterwheel turns slowly, and the river flows leisurely, just like the memory of reflection in the mirror.

乘一叶扁舟在沱江遨游，老夏正坐在标有“凤凰记忆”的小木船上。淅淅沥沥的雨水，拍打着江面，好似一幅江南水乡美景图。

Taking a flat boat in the Tuo River, Denis is sitting on a small wooden boat labeled Fenghuang Memory. The falling rain pats the river, forming a beautiful picture of South China water town.

群山环绕，钟灵毓秀，风景醉人。

Surrounded by mountains, this place pregnant with beauty and products f talent has intoxicating scenery.

在凤凰古城的一家小饭店里，荷叶鸡的香味透过橱窗飘了出来。

In a small restaurant in Fenghuang Ancient Town, the aroma of lotus leaf chicken wafted out through the window.

荷叶鸡的烹饪过程，通常采用荷叶将鸡肉包裹起来的方法，放在炭火或烤箱中进行烹饪。荷叶的天然香气能够渗透到鸡肉中，滑嫩的鸡肉搭配着淡淡的荷叶香，使得鸡肉在荷叶包裹中融合出独特的香味和口感。

Lotus leaf chicken is usually cooked in a charcoal fire or oven by wrapping the chicken in lotus leaves. The natural aroma of the lotus leaves can penetrate into the chicken, and the smooth and tender chicken with the light aroma of the lotus leaves makes the chicken blend with a unique flavor and texture.

老夏迫不及待地将手套戴上，准备美美开动这一大只烤鸡。这已经是他本次凤凰之旅第三次来到这家店铺了。三天三只烤鸡，老夏不忘评价道：“这是我吃过最棒的荷叶烤鸡！”。

Denis can't wait to put on the gloves, ready to chow down this big roast chicken. This is the third time he has come to this store on this trip to Fenghuang. With three roasted chickens in three days, Denis did not forget to comment, "This is the best lotus leaf roasted chicken I've ever had!" .
