A famous writer, Mary Flannery O’Connor, once said: The writer operates at a peculiar crossroads where time and place and eternity somehow meet. His problem is to find that position.

In China, you can’t miss a location which named Qingxi Village in Yiyang, Hunan province. It is an integral part of modern literature creation in China.

From May 19 to 26, Writers’ Activity Week launched by China Writers Association and Chinese Writers’ Yiyang Literature Week, with the theme of “Being a Student of the People”, were held in Chansha and Yiyang, Hunan.

More than 40 writers walked into Qingxi Village, experiencing the tremendous changes in a mountain village, obtaining creative inspiration and witnessing urban development.

This land nurtured writer Zhou Libo who returned to his hometown in the 1950s, Qingxi Village and based on it, he wrote the novel Great Changes in a Mountain Village, which depicts the rural reform in China. Through the words of the characters, he expressed infinite expectations for the future of his hometown.

Nowadays, with the bookshops near the house, the beautiful scenery between the mountains and the smiling faces of the new farmers, there has become the literary haven in the shower of artistic atmosphere.

Capture inspiration to and find resonance for. It turns out that places where mountains can be seen, water can be touched and nostalgia can be remembered can also provide a constant source for literature.

著名作家玛丽·弗兰纳里·奥康纳曾说过：“作家的创作，是在一个特殊的十字路口进行的。时间、地点与永恒，以某种方式在这里交汇。而他的难处，就在于要找到这个位置。”

在中国，你很难忽视一个叫做清溪村的地方，它就在湖南益阳，是中国现代文学创作不可忽视的一股力量。

5月19日至26日，“做人民的学生”中国作家协会作家活动周和中国作家益阳文学周活动在湖南长沙、益阳举行。

40余名作家走进清溪村，感受新山乡巨变，获取创作灵感，见证城市发展。

这片土地孕育了作家周立波。20世纪50年代，他回到家乡清溪村，以这里为原型写就了描绘新中国农村变革的长篇小说《山乡巨变》，作者借书中人物之口表达了对家乡未来的无限期许。

       现在的清溪村，家门口的书屋，山水间的美景，新农人的笑脸，从未有过如此接地气的诗与远方。

       往外探求灵感，往内寻找共鸣。原来在看得见山、望得见水、记得住乡愁的地方也能为文学提供源源不断的养分。
