2300年前，伟大爱国诗人屈原在汨罗江中投身殉国，衍生出各式各样的纪念习俗，汨罗也因此成为“端午源头”“龙舟故里”。

2300 years ago, the great patriotic poet Qu Yuan threw himself into the Miluo River to express his will, and various commemorative customs derived from his death. Miluo has also become the "Birthpalce of Duanwu", and the "Dragon Boat Hometown".

河流水网发达的湖南，湘资沅澧“四水”汇入洞庭。每年的端午期间，波光粼粼的江河里，三湘儿女万众齐心，赛龙夺锦，既是寄托国泰民安、风调雨顺的美好愿景，又是一代代湖南人团结奋进、拼搏争先的精神写照。

In Hunan, where the river network is well-developed, the "four rivers" of Xiang, Zi, Yuan, and Li converge into Dongting. During the Duanwu Festival every year, in the sparkling rivers, Hunan people gather together to compete for the gold medal (in the Dragon Boat Racing).
