On the morning of 27th, August, the delegation from Hunan Overseas Chinese Federation held a symposium in New Zealand, Auckland, on investment soliciting and on the research into the livelihood of overseas Chinese. About 30 people attended the symposium, including the delegation from Hunan Overseas Chinese Association and the representatives of the overseas Chinese in New Zealand.
Zhang Fan, the leader of the delegation, a party member and deputy director of Hunan Department of Culture and Tourism, promoted investments soliciting in the area of Hunan cultural tourism, and concluded cooperation agreements with New Zealand Overseas Chinese Federation on behalf of Hunan Department of Culture and Tourism to support the development of Hunan cultural tourism. Tang Li, the second-level inspector of Hunan Overseas Chinese Federation, briefed the situation of Hunan Province and the 10th Conference for Friendship of Overseas Chinese Associations.
At the symposium, the Overseas Chinese Federations of Changsha, Changde and Beitang District, Shaoyang, respectively gave an introduction of city situation and their investment promotion. Cheng Shuizhen (the president of New Zealand Overseas Chinese Federation), Shi Hongjun (the president of New Zealand-Hunan Friendship Federation), Huang Liang (the president and the founder of Townsmen Federation), Guo Xiaoyin (the president of New Zealand-Hunan Youth Federation) and other representatives of Hunan overseas Chinese delivered their speeches.
