They have seen the changes and development of China and care greatly for the future of their second home, and they too have their own feelings about the government work report. 跟很多外国友人一样，马国庆（Maxime Renaud）了解中国的第一扇窗口是成龙的功夫电影。高楼林立，车水马龙的香港让马国庆一见钟情。

Like many foreigners, Maxime Renaud's first window into China was Jackie Chan's kung fu movies. He fell in love with Hong Kong at first sight, with all its skyscrapers and traffic.

一切似乎都有天意。从小对料理感兴趣的马国庆没想到他的梦想竟然在向往的中国成为了现实。而更让他意想不到的是，他还在中国遇到了命定的另一半。

今年政府工作报告提出：持续实施重要生态系统保护和修复重大工程，推进煤炭清洁高效利用和技术研发，加快建设新型能源体系，完善支持绿色发展的政策，发展循环经济。

Everything seems to be destined. Ma Guoqing, who was interested in cooking since childhood, did not expect that his dream would become a reality in China. What surprised him more was that he met his lover here.

The government work report this year said: "China should also improve policies for green development, advance energy conservation and carbon reduction in key areas, and continue working to keep its skies blue, waters clear and lands clean."

“在如此高速发展的国家，还把环境保护的这么好，是很难得的”，马国庆说，他看到了中国对环保的重视，看了中国人为环保所做出的努力，美食与美景让他希望能一直留在中国。

"In such a rapidly developing country, it is very rare to protect the environment so well," said Ma Guoqing, who saw the importance China attaches to environmental protection and the efforts made by Chinese people to protect the environment. The delicious food and beautiful scenery make him want to always stay in China.

在中国收获惊喜

一个偶然的机会马国庆得到来自深圳的工作邀请，这让他很兴奋，因为深圳与他通过电影熟知的香港非常近。

Ma Guoqing got a job invitation from Shenzhen by chance, which made him very excited because Shenzhen was very close to Hong Kong where he knew through the film.

“中国总是给我很多惊喜”，马国庆说。如果说香港是马国庆了解中国的窗口，那深圳是让马国庆爱上中国的地方。

"China always surprises me a lot," said Ma Guoqing.

If Hong Kong is the window for Ma Guoqing to understand China, Shenzhen is the place where Ma Guoqing falls in love with China.

在深圳，他从粤菜开始了解到中国的饮食文化，爱上了喝茶。他亲眼见证深圳平安国际金融中心拔地而起，感受到中国速度；他看到来自球各地的精英汇聚于此，他们带来不同文化的碰撞与交流让他感到兴奋。

In Shenzhen, he began to learn about Chinese food culture from Cantonese cuisine and enjoy tea-tasting. He witnessed the building process of Shenzhen Ping An International Financial Centre and felt the China Speed through it; he saw that elites from all over the world gathered here, and they brought the collision and exchange of different cultures, which made him excited.

Maxime met his wife in Shenzhen, and became a Chinese son-in-law.

在深圳，他遇见了自己命定的另一半，成为了中国女婿。从妻子和家人的身上，他感受到了不同于欧洲的家庭观。对家庭的重视，敬老爱幼的传统文化，让他更加思念法国的家人，希望自己的爸爸妈妈也能多到中国来走走看看。

In Shenzhen, he met his lover and became a Chinese son-in-law. From his wife and family, he felt the different family view from Europe. The importance of family and the traditional culture of respecting the old and cherishing the young make him miss his family in France even more. He hopes his parents could come to China to travel around.

因为优秀的工作表现，马国庆收到了长沙尼依格罗酒店的邀请，成为行政副总厨，负责酒店西餐的出品把关。

Because of his excellent work performance, Ma Guoqing received the invitation of the Changsha Niccolo Hotel to become the executive deputy chef, responsible for the production of the hotel's Western cuisine.

“早就在各种社交平台看到过关于长沙的介绍，对这个城市非常感兴趣”，马国庆再一次因为好奇接受了邀请。

"I have seen introductions about Changsha on various social platforms, and I am very interested in this city." Ma Guoqing accepted an invitation again because of curiosity.

“橘子洲头，岳麓山，湘江沿岸……我特别开心我有这么多漂亮的地方跑步、溜娃”，漂亮的城市环境让马国庆更爱中国了，“在如此快速发展的过程当中还有这么好的环境是很难得的。”

"Orange Isle, Yuelu Mountain, Xiangjiang River Bank... I am very glad that I have so many beautiful places to run and walk with my kid". The beautiful urban environment makes Ma Guoqing love China more. "It is very rare to have such a good environment in the process of rapid development."

中国的努力对世界环保事业至关重要

China's efforts are crucial to the world's environmental protection cause

今年政府工作报告提出：持续实施重要生态系统保护和修复重大工程，推进煤炭清洁高效利用和技术研发，加快建设新型能源体系，完善支持绿色发展的政策，发展循环经济。这让马国庆更高兴了。

“在中国的六七年时间里，我看到大家的环保意识都很强，超市里大家都用环保袋购物，路上的新能源汽车也越来越多。”

"In the past six or seven years in China, I have seen that everyone has a strong awareness of environmental protection. In supermarkets, people will use reusable shopping bags, and there are more and more new energy vehicles on the road."

在马国庆看来，作为一个拥有14亿人口的大国，对环保的态度对全球环保事业的发展至关重要。而他，看到了中国人的努力，也在中国切实体会到了环境的向好趋势。

In Ma Guoqing's view, as a large country with a population of 1.4 billion, China's attitude towards environmental protection is crucial to the development of the global environmental protection cause. And he, seeing the efforts of Chinese people, also is aware of the positive trend of the environment in China.
