On the evening of April 18, a large-scale live-action drama "Border Town" based on Shen Congwen's literary work "Border Town" was staged in the Senlin Theater of Fenghuang Ancient Town, attracting hundreds of tourists to watch it. The drama was suspended in October last year due to the epidemic and other factors, and resumed performance in early March this year.

Since its resumption on March 8, "Border Town" has been staged at eight o'clock every night, receiving more than a thousand visitors on weekends and holidays. The play premiered in April 2015 in Fenghuang Ancient Town, with a total investment of 180 million yuan. After 12 years of elaborate production, performed by more than 200 actors wearing more than 3,000 pieces of silver jewelry, has now become a cultural tourism card of the Fenghuang Ancient Town. The show is divided into six acts and lasts about 70 minutes, vividly reproducing the folklore, folk music and folk culture of Xiangxi.
